TamperSTOP^TM

TamperSTOP^TM is a unique sterilization and security strip that assures a sterilized item has indeed been fully sterilized and has not been opened or tampered with in any way.

Here are the instructions for its use:

1. Carefully separate the TamperStop™ seal (TSS) into its two component pieces by tearing at the perforation.
   (Figure 1)
   
2. Place either component piece of the TSS into the left side of the open slot on the face of either of the two closed latch plates and begin sliding it into the slot from left to right. (Figure 2)
   
3. Continue inserting the TSS (Figure 3) making sure to slide the section marked “STEAM” all the way through the formed metal slot on the latch plate (Figure 4) until the paper notch in the TSS seats past the lower end of the metal slot (Figure 5).
   
4. Repeat steps 1 through 3 with the other component piece of the TSS and the latch plate on the opposite
   end of the container.
   
5. Container may now be placed in the sterilizer.
   
6. After the steam sterilization cycle is complete, the indicator will change color to show that the conditions necessary for sterilization have occurred (Figure 6).
   
7. In addition, the section marked “STEAM” will change
   appearance and look like an expanded fold (Figure 7) to indicate that the seal has been on the container during processing.
