| Jay Schainholz – President |
| Mr. Schainholz joined Medin in 1987 as Vice President of Finance and Administration and was elevated to his current role in 1991. Prior to joining Medin, Mr. Schainholz was a tax associate at the New York office of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius (1985-1987).
He earned his JD from the Columbia University School of Law in 1985 (Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar/Editor, Columbia Law Review), his MBA with specializations in Finance and Business Economics from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business in 1982 (Honors level GPA) and his BA in Economics from Columbia College, (Magna Cum Laude Phi Beta Kappa) in 1980. |
| Michael Librot – Vice President, Sales |
Mr. Librot joined Medin in 1995 and leads the company’s marketing and sales activities. Prior to joining Medin, Mr. Librot spent 11 years in an executive position at manufacturers representative
firms marketing surgical device solutions. Prior to that experience, he spent six years as Territory Manager for the V. Mueller Division of AHS.
He started his career at St. Vincents and Mount
Sinai Hospitals in New York and was a Registered Respiratory Therapist, instructor and published author of various articles found in Respiratory Therapy Journals. Mr. Librot is a
graduate of Queens College (CUNY) and NYU Bellevue School of Respiratory Therapy. |
Mark DiSilvestro – Vice President, Engineering and Quality
Mr. DiSilvestro joined Medin in 2008 as Vice President of Engineering, and is now responsible for both Engineering and Quality. Prior to joining Medin, he held positions of increasing responsibility
in the areas of research, technology development, concept development, R&D and product development first with DePuy Orthopaedics and subsequently with Becton Dickinson. He holds 9
US patents with over 30 patents pending, has authored or co-authored 8 full length manuscripts and over 30 conference proceedings. He earned his MS and PhD in Bioengineering from the
University of Pittsburgh, and his BS in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. |
Robert Scott – Vice President, Human Resources/Administration
Mr. Scott joined Medin in April 2011 to foster and lead Human Resource and Administrative strategy and initiatives. He is responsible for Human Resources, Customer Service and prioritization of IT projects.
Robert has over twenty years of experience in Human Resource Management. He brings a strong background in recruiting, people management, business partnership, human resource strategy, continuous improvement, change management and environmental, health & safety management. He has worked closely with many business functions including Manufacturing and Operations, Engineering, and Information Technology.
Prior to joining the Medin Leadership Team, Robert held Human Resource roles of increasing responsibility with E&J Gallo Winery, FMC Technologies, and most recently with Becton Dickinson and Company. Robert holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Development from Fresno Pacific University. |
Richard Eckrote – Vice President, Operations
Richard will be responsible for all Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities and Maintenance. Richard will be ramping up his involvement in the business starting immediately, and will become full time with Medin on March 12, 2012.
Richard brings to us over twenty years of Operational, General Management and Engineering experience primarily focused on medical devices. He has held positions with Osteonics and Howmedica (now both part of Stryker), Implex (now part of Zimmer), Datascope, Interplex, and presently is the Director of Operations for Biomet Trauma, Spine and Bracing in Parsippany, NJ. Rich holds 2 US patents, has a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology, and is a Certified Toolmaker.
